WW437 how Nordlark created her entry

the source:
From WW437

the parts used:
The illustration of the head reminded me of "Vanitas" still-life paintings which I've been fascinated with for some time.
They are supposedly a reminder of the transcience of earthly life and material things, and yet the material things shown in the paintings are often meticulously and sumptuously depicted.

Wikipedia has an article on "Vanitas":

I used a Sebastian Stoskopff still life

"Vanitas Still Life" aka "The Great Still Life",
by Sebastian Stoskopff (1597-1657), Strassburg

and replaced two items - the image in the drawing, and the text on the tablet in the bottom left, which now reads:  "Vanitas Vanitatum, Omnia Vanitas".  I cleaned up some age damage, tweaked the colors, and added highlights and shadows, plus a blurred layer from the Source for the hazy look.
